It that time again, where I try to do something crazy to raise funds for Bright Light Primary School.
Last year it was walk300, a 300-mile walk from Plymouth to Blackpool.
This year I am Kayaking 82 miles up the Lancaster canal and back again. Now, this might sound less of a challenge than last years, but believe me so far it has been anything but.
Originally I wanted to do 200 miles across different canals that have many locks. Little did I know how difficult kayaking can be. Luckily I reached out to Garstang Canoe & Kayak Club and they put me straight! You can find out about how the training sessions have been going on this very blog; just click here.
The important bit is that with the Club’s help I know the challenge will be a success. The challenge is due to commence Monday, August 26th 2019 so don’t forget to watch out for us. We will keep you posted on our location so check out our facebook page to see where we are if you happen to be in the area and want to pop by.
To tie off this post please don’t forget what we are doing this for. Bright Light Primary School urgently needs your help to fund their programs which help orphans, street children and children of poor families. They even try to branch further afield to help the whole surrounding community. Donate today by clicking here and you will be taken to a gofundme campaign.
